The firm, on the market for over 75 years, specializes in the production of wire ropes, flat-wire cables, helically wound cables, coated cables, liners and casings.

Founded in 1943 by Mario Spreafico with the name “Ditta Mario Spreafico”, it began its business as a spring manufacturer, specialized in spiral springs, and wire ropes retailer.

The production of ropes began two years after and soon became the main production.

The close ties with the national market in the 1950s and 1960s favored a rapid development of the company. Since the early 1960s, the company was able to supply a complete range of ropes.

Between the 70s and the 80s Mario's sons, the engineers Carlo and Mariano Spreafico, joined Mario in running the company, and the company took on its current name. Also in these years new and better technologies were introduced and the company production structure was modernized.

In the 1990s the decision was made to develop the production of special and highly technological ropes and cables. An important change that allowed entry into the international market and that completed the company's technological development.
